Hey Ronnie, I've seen some really nice hand drum work on the "STOMP PULSE" DVD, also seem some of the hand drum lessons on YouTube. Quite fascinating at how one drum can vary in so many tones and beats as well.
I've played Congas in my time "Ray Barreto style" and maybe should have taken some hand drum lessons myself. It definitely would have given me an edge.

Your snare sounds great and you've got the floor tom tuned so it rumbles in your gut...bravo! Your family should buy you a thinner crash for your birthday so you don't have to hit it so hard to get a bright response. Rock on!
My bad, I thought hand drumming of the Hindi lap type of hand drumming. And yes, really nice exposition.
I have tired that after dropping my drum sticks once , but only once. Some how I managed to strike the rim on the snare and hit it the wrong way. Man talk about shouting pain up the arm.
But all in all it was a good display of your talent. Good showman ship. I enjoyed watching it.
Thanks Slingerlandr59 for getting the video together. I think that sizzler cymbal would complement this style also.
