I used to visit this site alot before and haven't really been on here in a while but I have recently made videos and upoaded them to youtube.. they are pretty rough and are all improv.. I like the newer ones more and its because I have been practicing with a metronome more and it really helps your tighten up your playing thats for sure!!

Man you have some speed and technique in those fingers - well done / Little rigit on the vibe - not all Metronome work is good - good to mix it up a bit more - but you have the potential to be a great great drummer

Hey thanks for the constructive critisism! I know that I need to work on playing with a metronome more.. I have been only recently starting to practice with one (I know I should've started a long time ago) I have lately been getting into more fast jazz/progressive stuff and will try to throw something like that up on youtube when I have time.

Peace!

Hey raat. Good to hear from you again. And good to see you keeping the big-kit alive. I've recently put my second bass drum out to pasture. I found I play better with one and got a pearl eliminator onto it.

Great vids man. That metro practice is paying off. I think what Phil was getting at is perhaps you should spend sometime loosening up those grooves. Go without the clicker improvise it up a bit.

Raat yeah man SKin Slapper is right - I actually meant lay off the click for a while it's great disciplne but it can also cause drummers to play very very strict and i've seen guys lose the groove - the secret is finding the balance between the two - you have great chops and technique far better than me - so jazz is def. the way to go - get some Tower of Power downloads - you'll know what I mean but keep going man - great stuff

I definetley agree with you Phil Gaynor... jazz can teach you much better hand-eye techniques... I also think in jazz you have a higher amount of left hand endurance
