I think The problem isn´t about getting a higher soun from your headphones, maybe you should found a new ones which isolate the sound from the exterior. I liked your cover; I think the only advise I could give is putting your hi-hats a little higher, maybe that way you can feel more comfortable or if your like it that way, you can pull down you throne a bit.
