i just uploaded a video of a short(minute and a half) drum solo based around some hip/hop, funk and linear type ideas. i tryed to use some ambidexterity to create unique grooves too.
thanks a lot! its dave weckl maple snare from yamaha. seems to work well in most situations unless you need that really high(rnb mega "crack"), or really deep sound(snare with a deeper shell).
(But not as well composed...)
