Greetings Fellow Drum Lovers

Hi gang...new to this site. I'm a 2nd generation drummer from Texas. My Dad used to tell everybody I started playing when I was 3 yrs old. I'm 53 now, so been drumming for 50 yrs now!!! Dad was a great drummer and teacher, miss him so much and all the older guys I learned from over the years. Love swing and jazz, but play all styles. Currently playing with a group that does a wide range of stuff. Everything from classic R&B, 70's & 80's pop and rock, everything from Cake to Tom Jones. It's all about the GROOVE baby. Was brought up on Ludwig drums and Zildjian cymbals. Currently playing a small GMS se midnight/black fade kit 20/12/14 and 13 snare. Evans coated G plus heads on top, clear res. on bottom, Evans emad on bass. Main ride, 22 inch late 50's A Zildjian, about a 10 yr old k. constantinople 20 inch on left side, hi-hats are 2- 16 Cie & A crahes. When needed use one or more crashes, depends on the type of gig. Got off the road and away from full time show biz about 11 yrs ago when son started school, now just gigging a few times a month, but playing everyday either on the kit or practice pad and sticks. Love talking drums and relating things I've learned from the older cats and experiences of my own from over the years. Let's talk drums and drumming.
A.B.
