Hi all, I'm a drumsmith and new to the site

Hello everyone,

I'm a drum maker specializing in hand drums. I make Cajons and also steel tongue hand drums. I've been drumming for over a decade but I am not a kit drummer. I play the doumbek, tabla, darabuka, djembe, cajon, congas etc.

Recently I've been focusing on my new steel tongue drums. I tune them to any scale and they are always almost dead-on perfect pitch.

Hey man, that is a really cool drum that you make. My main hand percussion instrument is the cajon, but I am very interested in the lotus drum!

Thanks! I've greatly improved upon the design the the past few weeks.

Some major changes:
internal dampening
extensive color selection
double-sided drums

I'm working also on some larger ones maybe 14" or even 16" with more notes. I don't know how long it will be before those are ready but I'm looking forward to it.

Welcome to DSC Lotusdrum.

Percussion is always done with sticks. I have a Voo-Doo Conga from Cuba with natural skin head.

Good Luck in your carrier.
