My name is Cory, I am from Thunder Bay Ontario. I have been a drummer for about 10 years now. My favorite drummers are : Dennis Chambers, Dave Lombardo, Alex Hernandez, Pete Sandoval, Sean Kinney, Billy Cobham and Terry Bozzio.
My favorite bands are : King Diamond, Metal Church, Slayer till 86, CCR, Immolation, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and so on.
Right now I play a 5 piece
pearl export drum kit, it has 12" and 13" toms, 16" floor tom, 22" bass drum and a 5.5 x 14"
pearl maple free floating snare with master cast hoops.
For cymbals, I only use
Zildjian. I have a 22" K custom high definition ride, an 18" A custom crash, 18" Avedis crash (medium), a 16" A custom crash, a 17" K custom dark china, an 8" Avedis splash and 13" K custom dark high hats.
For hardware I use a
pearl drum rack ( old and ****ty) mostly gibralter stands, a gibralter throne and I use a
DW 9000 double bass pedal.
I am in the process of picking out a new drumset and am tossed up between the
Yamaha maple cutom, and the
Pearl Masters MRX.
I am looking for this configuration: 20" x 18" bass drum, 10",12"14" toms and 16" and 18" floor toms.
