Greetings, salutations, what have you (insert synonymous greeting here).
I have never done/participated in this forum 'concept' before, but anyway, here this goes...
I started at age 13, have been playing (and will continue to play) for eight and 1/2 years and have taken private lessons ( which were quite intensive, even grueling at times) for 7 years.
My primary influences are Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Billy Cobham, Danny Carey, and Virgil Donati.
My equipment consists of: Yamaha drums (stage and maple custom absolute), Zildjian and Sabian cymbals (sometimes Paiste), Vic Firth sticks and Remo drumheads as well as DW single pedal and a Yamaha 'flying dragon' double kick pedal.
I practice and respect all styles (though to varying degrees) and, L-dub, will be playing for the rest of my life until my dying breath (I'm incredibly thankful that I have been made as a musician!)...dnastrands.

It's okay if you're new to the whole forums concept, we'll make sure to guide you through it! To check messages you just go up to the top right corner of the site and you should see something called "Private Message". Hope that helped!
