Greetings earthlings.

Hello everyone, I joined this forum after getting a link off google, looking for drum-set reviews, read about the contests and joined immediately. Heh, but for the forum too. I've been drumming for two years, since I was 12, and I' a regular obsessor of music.

I'm a regular fighter on other music forums for the dignity of the drum solo, and I'm suprised at how many idiots, think that drum solos are stupid and that the drum is merely a back-up instrument. My technique is very simliar to that of Bill Ward's, and Neil Peart's. I use alot of the odd time signatures found in solos like Der Trommler, and get the inspiration from m beats, and band sync from Bill Ward, and Bonham mainly.

Hey there DustFerrett, welcome to the forum.

Bill Ward and John Bonham - thumbs up.

How anyone can generalise that drums are a "back-up" instrument is beyond me, feel free to vent your spleen on the subject in the forum.

Me and the bass player in my band, Abraxas vent about it all the time. People don't realize how fundamental drums are to all music. I can usually change people's minds by showing them a clip of Moby Dick, but some guitarists that I know are very egotistical.

Hey DustFerret,
Welcome to the forums! I'd like to hear your style of drumming, Billy Ward and Neil Peart fusion.

It'll take me a while to get equipment suitable for posting samples of some of my work on here, but I'd love to one I have the chance.
