Hi again; Sounds like you have some nice new toys coming. As you read through these posts on various subjects, you will find my opinion on cymbal purchasing here and there. Basically my theory is: Never buy cymbals because of whose name is on them,-NEVER. Bring one of your old cymbals from home that you like. Put on a blindfold if you must. Hit every cymbal that is in the room. Set aside the ones that you like. Then play them against your old cymbal and see which ones you like. Bottom line. Let YOUR EARS-not ANYONES ELSE'S EARS- make the choice. Even bring your own drumsticks.
It's the SOUND that counts. Not the label. You will know which sound YOU LIKE when you HEAR it. Not when you see who made it. Nobody can see the label from the audience, but they sure can hear it.
