Sup

Hey

Just got into drumming not too long ago....around December 06'. I'm located in Ottawa, ON, Canada (no, we don't use dog sleds :P). Me and a few friends started a band :P We play post-hardcore/punk/hard rock and a little metal. Currently I'm using some random drum set, that one of my band member's brother had (yeh, kinda random) but it was bigger than my old kit, and i liked it :P

I use the toms and bass from that kit, and my old 14 inch snare, crash, ride and hats (all powerbeat cymbals and precision percussion drums, some rdm brands) and i got a new HHX 12" Legacy Splash and an 18" AAX Metal Crash which are both treating me very well. I put the 10" tom from my old kit on a snare stand and stuck it with my current kit and I also stuck the 14" tom with it too, probably keep em there untill I sell the kit :P

I like a lot of different music, some of my favorite bands are:
Avenged Sevenfold, Thrice, AFI, Billy Talent, Atreyu, Bullet for my Valentine, Children of Bodom, Rise Against.

Anyways, I needed some advice on a lot of stuff and everyone here seemed to be pretty friendly and full of good advice to give

Thanks a lot

-Crotia

Hey Man, already enjoyed you being here. Don't know if you've checked out my bands site yet but I think our stuff might be right up your alley.

Ceya 'round.

I checked out ur band's site, music is pretty cool, our music is similar, but we're a bit scattered right now and lack a solid musical direction :P

Yeah, I know the feeling. We're sort of going with it, constantly writting new stuff (we've got about 16 songs now), we just cut the one's that don't fit when we have to.
