Hi my name is Jeremy and I am a drummer.
I joined this site to connect with other drummers about tips, opinions and discussion of various drumming topics.

I currently have two drumsets - an electric and an acoustic. I play in a Christian band right now and have played in many other bands before. I like to play anything from metal to punk to gospel to soft rock to funk.

My favorite bands range from Dragonforce to Primus to Beastie Boys to NOFX. I would have to say my favorite albums include:

Praxis - Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis)
Dragonforce - Valley of the Damned

And enjoy you will. That's a cool list of influences you've got there. I'm a big Primus fan too. Moreso of Brains drumming than Herbs though. Zappa's great too. Did you know Terry Bozzio's playing on the next Korn record?

Yeah, I heard that about Bozzio. Ever seen the Zappa DVD called Baby Snakes? It has a lot of Bozzio parts from when he was like 20 years old - pretty entertaining.

It's funny you mention Brain and Tim Alexander. I used to love Tim Alexander (before I had ever heard of Brain). And then The Brown Album came out and I hated it - well, for the drumming anyways. It was such a departure form the old Primus style. But then I saw Primus's first tour with Brain and he did the Jellikit solo with one hand - I was blown away. Loved Brain ever since. And their best album, in my opinion, Anti Pop.
