Hello everyone,

My name is Rick Fininen aka Rick Pittman, I'm new to this forum. I've been out of the music scene for quite some time. I'm returning to playing and I'm finding equipment has changed a lot over the years.
I played drums for Rodger Collins("She's looking Good") song writer and performer
also worked with Milton Hopkins band leader for BB King. I am returning to drumming, so I will be asking a lot of questions about new gear.

Hey Guss,

This is a great venue for discussion with other drummer/musicians. I am an old Motown blues and R and B drummer. In my younger years I did quite a bit of touring with some major acts. I've been out of active playing since 1991, but I have decided to make a come back. I will be picking up a Gretsch set this weekend. After making contact with some of the entertainers that I worked with in the past, I learned that they were still interested in me working with them again. several well know artist are releasing new albums this year and if the album does well they will do a tour. I hope to have my chops back up to speed by them.

Motown Eh? like the Temptations... the temptations(David ruffin)I grew up listing to them and they are someof my influinces,My Girl and Papa Was A Rolling stone(that means hes been playing music for too long).
