Hey there Bobby, nice to meet you. It might be hard for you, but if you really wanna get those drumming techniques down, I suggest getting lessons. They're just really helpful in teaching good habits that will make the set easier to play.

Just a thought, glad to have you here.

Playing Double padel

Welcome to the fourm Bobby, glad your here. I didn't learn how to read music until I was almost 48 years old and I still don't read good now. I know for me it was really hard to learn a new way of drumming by reading. I do know it was and still is worth it. I have only been playing double bass pedals for 5 years. I practice the same things Iwith my feet as with my hands. I geuss its about practicing and practicing and practicing and practicing and some more practice.

Hi. I know how you feel. I cannot read music that well either. Recently, I bought two drumming boooks entitled FastTrack to Drumming number 1 and 2. They both come with almost 100 different songs and beats and range from beginner to advanced. I recommend watching and reading tutorials and lessons.
Good luck with your band!
