I'm just another newbie joining the forum...only been playing a few months. Getting a late start at 47 years old, but fulfilling a lifelong dream. Playing a TAMA stagestar that I bought for my daughter last year, looking to buy my own now. Stores in town (Col Spgs) don't have hardly any kits set up to hear. Reading online store reviews, considering either a Mapex Pro M or M Birch, or a TAMA Superstar. Hate to make a bad decision buying a set without hearing it, but may have to. I'll check out the forum reviews...open to suggestions, thanks.
