new set need help!

Hey!

I'm new to drumsetconnect and found it when i was looking for a new set online. I found the Tama Imperialstar Fusion on guitarcenter.com and was wondering if it was any good. Any response would be great!

Thanks!

Tama makes a good solid set, that when properly tuned will sound good also.

I'm a single pedal guy, so I can't give you a suggestion on that. There are some old treads on here dealing with double pedals check those out.

Tama does make a great kit and in my opinion, poplar is great wood for an early kit. Much like maple, but a little less overtone to worry about.

As for double pedals, I personally haven't tried the pdp's but I can thoroughly recomend the sonor 400 series. I've been using them in both a single on two bass drum and double on one configuratoin and that is a great pedal for the price.
