I'm not gonna vote, because I'm a little swayed myself at the moment. I have a 2x "22 bass drum kit.
Pro's; no muffling from the second beater and slight tuning differences from the two drums will give you a bigger sound. It looks cool. You get a slightly better action with the pedal on the drum (but that's nothing a good quality pedal won't fix)
Con's; transportation, tuning, extra channel on the mixing desk, more mics, and I even find the feel of the double pedal keeps my playing more in check.
In short, my cannons have had a good run and I'll continue to use them while I've got 'em, but for my next kit, I'm strongly erring on the side of getting one "24 boomer and a
DW pedal.
