Hi guys,
I'm from Buffalo, NY and play in a band called eXit! We play rock (original and cover) tunes.

I play a Roland TD-10 expanded kit with a carver 800 watt amp, Ampeg B15 with a horn as my monitor. We run it through a custome sound system, my buddy is an electrical engineer, and the drums sound great. I send the signal out dry and Joe puts a little digital delay on it.

I've been performing since 1962. I've decided that I want to buy an acoustic set that looks and sounds great. I'm still undecided about maple or birch and I've not heard a Pearl Reference kit yet.

Anybody know of some drum shops with top of the line kits you can hear on near Buffalo, NY?

Welcome to the site Bill. I like your screen name; at first glance it looks like a worthy goal -- to own a billion drums!

I'm a Canuck, so I can't help you out with shops in Buffalo. I know many of the folks on another drum forum I'm a member of speak very highly of the Pearl Reference. The kit I'd like to hear is the high end Pork Pie. I've seen some pretty pictures on this forum but I haven't seen the drums in my area.
