Heyyyyyyyy dudesssssss

Hey dudes i'm Meddy. I'm 16 and english and recently found a talent in drumming.

Jumped on the kit at my youth club thingy I go to, and found I was pretty alright for a begininner. So yeah, got an electric kit job at home which i've been practicing on quite a lot (cant get proper kit yet, until I have my own house ), and play the proper kits in school/anywhere else I find on as much as possible.

Decided I really need to get a double bass pedal to start training my legs up, and found this site. Looks pretty cool. =]

I'm into Metal, Rock, Punk... Like music like A7X, Bullet etc. Finding myself practicing along to H.I.M, Funeral for a friend etc. Recently recorded my A level music tech multi-track of Wings of a Butterfly (H.I.M).

Just a introduction of myself

Hi Meddy. Welcome to the site. Love the avatar. Ya, if you can swing the cost, I agree it's a good idea to get the double pedal now. I've been drumming for 40 years and I finally got the itch for double bass (everyone's doin' it now...it's a requirement!). I'm amazing myself with my improvement everyday...and the new hand/foot patterns at my finger (and toe) tips are fantastic.

Welcome to the forum Meddy! I'm a drummer of 15 years and I actually still use the DW5000 series single. I am able to rock double and triplets on it but I am beginning to think it is time to make the switch too. I will likely go with the Tama HP900RSW Iron Cobra Rolling Glide Double Bass Drum Pedal. Not exactly sure thoug but I'll let you know when I can pull the trigger and get one.

@slinger, cheers! I got the skull from the A7X Avenged Sevenfold album cover hehe. That's what i thought, get a double pedal and i'll get better so much quicker.

@God of thunder, cheers. That pedal looks cool, cheers for the link. I've also been looking at the slightly cheaper Pearl 122TW Pedal. Know if it's any good?

Re: Heyyyyyyyy dudesssssss

The pearl pedal feels decent and has decent reviews but I prefer the Iron cobra. I do also like the DW 9002 doubl epedal but it is like $550 bucks. The tama iron cobra is only $379 and in my opinion, well worth the price. It is solid and should last for years. I've had my current single DW 5000 pedal for 7 years and never had a problem. What I'm trying to say is, spend more and you will get more out of it.

Ok thanks. I'll probably stick with the pearl, i'm not exactly swimming in cash right now heh. Thanks for the suggestion though, if I suddenly find a few hundred quid lying around i'll remember your suggestion. :P

Right on Brother Meddy. Keep the thunder rolling! The pearl isn't a bad choice. It'll get you doing kick rolls in no time.
