New to the forum, used to the drums

Hello to all you out there in the drumming world, I thought I would say hello and tell you about my musical self.

I am a percussion student of Galen Lemmon and a sophomore @ San Jose State University. I have been a percussionist for close to ten years, but have only stepped behind the traps within the last 3. before that I played piano and trombone.

my kit: I play a 2005 4 piece TAMA Swingstar. I use remo ambassadors for my toms and Evans Genera Super Dry for my snare & EMAD/ Remo ebony pinstripe for my bassI use a 5.5"x14" Pearl Sensi-tone snare.
Cymbals: 14" AAX Stage Hihats, 17" HHX Studio Crash, 18" AAXplosion Crash; 20" AAX metal ride. DW 4000 single pedal and Pearl and TAMA hardware.

I like Vic Firth 8D sticks or Zildjian Taylor Hawkins sig. sticks

I am also a huge fam of marimba. I like playing a 5 octave marimba one, with Nancy Zeltsman mallets.

my drumming favorites are Taylor Hawkins, Chris Pennie, Josh Eppard, Neal Peart, Buddy Rich, Max Roach and Gene Krupa

If anyone has good recommendations for building left foot bass chops, clue me in, thats where my biggest weakness lies.

I also made a homemade sub kick, and it works like a dream, hopefully I can get some pictures up of it and my kit.
