Welcome to the forum David. I checked out your profile and it's awfully close to mine. My birthday is April 16, 1959 and I'm practically your neighbour in Brampton. The one noticeable difference is you've got a Yamaha custom set in addition to your vintage one...envy...envy....envy.

Please contribute to the site. It's nice and small so you can get through most of the new posts in one sitting. And nobody has talked down to me yet!

Good to hear from others with the same background. The thing I find so cool about this site is the chance to exchange with other who get the whole drum thing. I have a wife and 2 daughters (bless their hearts), but they don't really "get it", although they try. Don't ever give up the drum thing, it's good.

Ya, there is something special about being a drummer...about the way we think, about the way we hear rhythms in our head all the time and feel compelled to tap them out or hum them.
