Came across this on EBAY. Item number 270350214385. Check out the finish and lugs. What sort of kit is this? The guy has a Sonor badge on the kick, but this is clearly not a Sonor kit. The badge appears to be a snare badge from the late 70's, early 80's. In fact, I can see where he purchased the badge in February '09. He doesn't say it's a Sonor in the ad, but hey, one questioner to the seller seems to think it is. the seller refused to respond to my several questions about the kit. What do you guys think? Cheers.

Re: check this out

The badge is NOT a Sonor drum set badge, looks like a percussion badge but their drum kits have distinctive badges.

By the look of the lugs it could be a Gretsch. But, then again he says in the post that he changed out the hardware (lugs too??) and one pic shows the bass drum without some of its tension rods-- I dunno.

I'd say avoid the kit. It could be a Gretsch Catalina with the badges removed and a Sonor badge screwed on it...

Thanks for that. I just felt the guy was misleading. As I said, you can see where he bought the badge in Feb '09 via "history as a buyer". Anyway, certainly avoided and no bids were made whilst it was an active item! Cheers
