Hey everyone, just got into the site and joined up. My name is Beaver S. I have been playing and teaching for about 25yrs and lovin it. I play a set V,s in the studio and a set of Maple Premiers live with the old standard Zabians resting on the stands. I recently strpped a couple of wing nuts on my tom tom mount and I am havin a hell of a time gettting a couple. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks fellow drummers, this is great. Beaver welcome to Drum Set Connect my friend. You will find this is a great place to hang out and everyone here to be very helpful.

As for the stripped wingnuts.....is it the nut itself that the threads are trashed on or the lug the leg runs through? Which of your sets is the one with the trouble?

Thanks for the reply Der, yeah it's the wing nut itself that's stripped on my Premier kit. One nut is to hold the tom itself on the mount, and the other one is on the mount itself. I haven'nt yet checked out Gibralter accesiories, but I would like to keep things as orginal as possible. I live in Halifax, NS and our music stores are Long McWade, and they don't carry much gear like that. Talk to ya soon.:

Halifax, man you are way out east eh? You might be able to find some Premier parts or even a tom for sale on ebay. If you know type of Premier kit it is or even post a picture of it I can look around here, I know of one shop here that has tons of spare hardware.

Hey all I play the irish bodhran as while as the drum kit. I think to the gentelman with the thread problem. If you can take this to your local hardware store and Id the type of threads u might beable to get what you need.

Any way I have a Irish group called a wee bit Celtic. We play city events and tommrow will be at the local fair here in the Tacoma WA area.

Thanks for inviting me to join.
