Jungle/d&b sound - snare

hi all - i'm new to this site and fairly new to drumming (this post may be in the wrong section and i am happy for it to be moved). i am trying to build my kit to sound a bit jungle/d&b-ish. i want an additional snare (i have a 14 inch snare) in order to get a variation in snare sound as i play. please can any one suggest an appropriate additional snare - 10inch??; metal/wood??; skin-type?? (or should i just stick with samples from my spd-20?) and whether or should be over tightening to get a pitch difference - characteristic of speeding up samples. i just got a set of meinl MB10 cymbals yesterday and they have a lovley tone - but i cant tell if they fit in with the jungle sound yet. any thoughts overall. simon k

Here is another something that may help in finding your jungle drum sounds:

Rot Drums are also tunable as you rotate them.
