Hi all,
I'm an old fart; never played anything but air drums. Mid-life crisis yaddy yaddy, but I'm thinking on giving the real thing a try. I'd take any advise offered.

Welcome to DSC. I would have to say go for it, given the fact that you can buy a drum set pretty cheap right now, you don't have anything to lose.

Thanks. I've been looking the youtube lesson videos and I'm encouraged. I now need to get past the shyness factor of practicing and haveing the neighbors get anoyed or laughing.

Start by learning rudiments and then develop a style.

Like Der said, there are a lot of cheap sets out there
that can easily get you started. Good Luck with your drumming!
