I am known as thundafoot for hammering my kick drums and have been playing drums for 20 plus years. Each day is a learning expeirience and thats what i teach my students. I have 2 kits one is a Pearl and the other is a Sonor. I don't know bout u but drumming is my passion and love to play. Here is a pic of my Sonor's enjoy
I'll do my best.....lol The one thing I teach my students is the importance of the rudiments. Without them your just playing with yourself. Practice is the key to being a good drummer. Not everyone is cut out to be a drummer, so people lack coordination and are to stiff. I also teach my students that it is all in the wrist so I give them wrist exercises to build up the strength they will need to make a successfull drum roll. I've seen a few so called drummers in my time use there arms and it looks uncomfortable...........lol
Its not how hard u hit the heads its how u hit them. If your sticks look like a woodpecker has been pecking on them you know all chipped up then your not hitting the head in the middle. Your sticks might look like that from doing rim shots but otherwise they should be fairly dented a little.
Ok , thanks for having me here and if you need any questions u need answered I'll do my best to answer them as best as I can.
happy drumming
