Hello my name is Preston Hadley, im a drummer of 10 years i am also part of Stomp Drive. A company which retro-fits direct drive systems for drum pedals. Current product is the Tama Iron Cobra. Thats all for now .

So which do you prefer, the chain or the belt direct drive on your pedal?

The Answer would be direct drive. Best feel fastest response. First year using them XD

I do so far XD.
I have always been a heavy rock metal drummer.
I have studied such bands as Pink Floyd to Kansas to ACDC, all the way to modern music, to Disturbed, Saliva(1st fav), Drowning Pool (2nd fav), Chimaira, also to reggae and R&B hip hop. I enjoy sublime of course. 2 pac. many instrumentals. I love jazz drumming its a natural thing for me. The feel and rhythm of jazz started showing in my drumming when i was about 6 years along. I figured if you can drum jazz, you can drum :P It takes extreme precision just as heavy metal or speed metal. I am not Joey Jordison, although i love his stuff. and have played a lot of it. i care more for bands such as but not limited to Godsmack (which i have seen twice), Nonpoint, Nickelback, Creed (the old creed). Mushroomhead, Otep, Adema, Limp Bizket.
Soil, and also Seether (my band does a great 2 cover songs of Seether.) So yeah thats what I am into. I have been drumming for 10 years, and the one thing i learned that meant a ton is that "less is more", when done right. also relaxation. I remember i drummed for 3 years rigid as stone it was hard for me to break free of that restraint. But yes thats the style i prefer.
