I don't play drums, but my son played snare in his middle school band, worships Neil Peart, and wants a drum set for Christmas. My problem is that I really don't know anything about them! I'm sure he'd like to have an electric set the most, but I don't know if he should have one for his first set, plus, I need to stay in a certain price range. I looked on Musicians Friend and love the 5 piece Pearl set. Does anyone have any advice or comments? He plays his friends set all the time, but has never had any lessons on a set. I was hoping that drum tabs would be really helpful and easy!!
