Hey skinslapper, according to my contacts Hendrix died from regurgitation and he did have a meal before taking those pills. Besides being extremely over tired from touring and was restless. He couldn't sleep for days before the incident.

I spoke with Micheal Averett who is Kenny's brother and he was Sly and the family stones roady equipment manager back in the sixties. I was going to school with mike at the time. Sly and The Family Stone was the band that was scheduled to play the same concert as Hendrix the day he died.

I think Jimi's Death was depression brought on by drugs in the Early years..I don't feel the people around him at that time were much help either and like all pop icons his trust and fame attracted the wrong peers..He was delusional with his writing and it was inevitable that he was... becoming a dinosaur as the music scene was rapidly changing ...there are conspiracy theories that the CIA did him in... for his political conversion of people via his music and was thought of as a threat to National security...Like John Lennon and other heroes of the music scene it takes nothing to take a human life and like the Roman Empire Caesar always wins in the end....God Bless America....Even today people still cash in on Jimmi Hendrix with Albums and Tapes that he wouldn't have passed for publication..but its the way of the world to exploit the exploited........
