True, we all have our own opinions on the guy.
We may not all like him, but like der said, he IS making a living off of the instrument,
The drumming world got pretty competitive.
And, I guess he fell behind on his skills. Thats all.

Dont forget Michael Bolton or the Bee Gee's. You know the drummers made good money i would play with them on a tour any day for the money I actually like some cheesy songs but dont tell nobody

As far as Travis Barker goes i think he plays well for the type of music he is playing but there are always better drummers out there just like ther are always better guitarist out there. I am sure he has made way more money then i ever will

I think his reputation is a combo of his skills and his publicity.
In his case, His publicity out weights his skills,
making him "not to good" in most drummers eyes.

Poor Travis. The guy takes a lot of flak from us drummers. He's not the best but I've never got the vibe from him that leads me to believe he thinks the best either. I've watched a lot of interviews with and he comes off as a really quiet and humble guy. There's no reason to dog a guy about not being the best when he never billed himself that way in the first place.
