Re: Oldest drummer? As I stated before, I'm older than dirt. Me and God used to jam together in his garage when we were kids, his mother screaming, turn it down". It wasn't easy in those early days, I had to wait for Him to make something and then I'd try banging them together, rocks, sticks, cats, but then one day He came up with a 7 piece wine red Pearl set and from there eveything just got better. Except for my hearing... |

Re: Oldest drummer? Oh and not to change the subject, but I will any way, can anyone tell me anything about "unbreakable" sticks, other than a sales pitch? Thanks... |

Thanks... | Okay Mugsy, AHEAD Advantage . Noe you got it? No Sales pitch. Dead ahead. On the money. Not wood. Dyecast metal rod with plastic replacable sleeves, and tips. Pricey and worth it.
"Drumming 50 years but not over the hill and younger than dirt."
Now that is a sales pitch.
P.S. Tell "GOD" I want my money, the fifth bucks we made a bet on. Time to cough up the dough. "The Devil made me do it, but I still won the bet. |

Those days are still around, My son gets yelled at everytime for playing his guitar or the drums too loud by his mother, just as I was yelled at back about 42 years ago by my mother. Went to the mall today, and the old hippie designs and colors are back. MOD is back also from the dead.

Re: Oldest drummer? Hey Mugsy, you catch on really quick.
Memories may be beautiful and yet. I forgot the rest of the words. Been along time comm in.
When I observe some drummers playing live or studio recordings, I can tell when they screw up. As long as the audience doesn't notice, it's OK.
How long you been playing Mr. Mugsy, I'm sorry but I've not heard that name in ages. It's got to be a nick name. Sound typical New Yorker or Hollywood, if you get my meaning.
Keep on Rockin and Drumming, or what ever appeals to you all.
