Yeah, it's a lot of fun working through the different starting points and permutations.
What's also fun is taking the same three-note patterns, but applying them to an even division, like sixteenths:
1 e and
a 2 e
and a 3
e and a
4 e and
a (etc., etc., etc.)
Or similarly, take a four-note (or four-limb) pattern, and apply it to triplet divisions.
I love getting lots of mileage out of minimal raw materials.
