Yeah, that is really amazing. I've always admired the drums played in Rosanna - although I didn't know that he was using that many ghost notes on the snare drum. I think it sounds more like hi-hat hits on the record.

Simon Phillips, who played with TOTO after Jeff died, did also an amazing job for this drum part.
I have seen that performed live In Auckland, it was amazing.
There is a wonderfull concert DVD available called Falling In Between where there is excellent footage of this. The concert was recorded in Paris.
The ghost notes are very much pronounced by Simon and easily to detect.
Before handling Jeff Porcaro half-time shuffle version, here something to help get that shuffle feel with a lesson on John Bonham "Fool in the rain" halftime shuffle. I'm now trying to master this one before even thinking going deeper with Porcaro version.
But I'll get it!
