More great videos of great drummers!

I thought I'd put up some of my favorite videos, just for a little more flavor. I will warn you, some of this stuff is jazz.. Hopefully some of these cats will inspire you like they have inspired me.

Brian Blade. One of my favorite drummers, excellent feel.

Benny Greb. Amazingly musical drummer. Jaws will drop while watching this video, please finish chewing all food before pressing play...

This video is over an hour long, but it is oh so worth it. This is Tony Williams playing some extended solos, and giving a bit of a clinic. A master at work.

All the metal cats on here should know this guy. Chris Pennie. One of the few metal/hardcore drummers I like. Amazing technique. About 2:45 in the party really starts.

And for the last video, one of my absolute favorite Buddy Rich solos. Flash and dash.

Well, there you go. I had to get that off my chest...Enjoy!

that benny greb is rediculous. i've never heard of him but he has an amazing fluidity in playing. he moves flawlessly from one side of the kit to the other and everywhere in between. nice post!

A good dvd worth a watch is The John Entwistle Band Live at Woodstock 99

With my second band i am learning Bad Companies "can't get enough".
Out of curiousity i thought i'd get the Simon Kirke "Lessons from a legend" DVD to see how accurately i managed to get the song off from listening and copying.
I did great.
Anyway i wanted to bring this DVD to your attention, IMO it is one of the better instructional DVDs i have come across. It has 6 of Bad Company songs which Simon Kirke explains the breakdown of each song including fills and licks, plays through each song with the useful feature of him playing with band track, band track only, or Simon playing through without backing.
The camera shots are the best iv'e seen on one of these DVD's and there are add in's showing his foot work.

Also has a very interesting interview.

I rate it a 10/10, hopefully other artists will take up on this concept.
