Thanks butter. I hear you on the vocal thing too. My cousin tried to get me to listen to them soooo long ago and I couldn't get past the vocals. I actually thought he was a girl for the longest time. After awhile I warmed up to them a little more; a lot of it was the drumming that kept me listening for so many years. My favorite drummers are the eccentric ones.
have you ever listened to Saosin? anthony green, who is now the singer for circa survive, used to sing for saosin. anyway, the drummer, alex rodriguez, is pretty creative. im not too impressed with the new album, but saosin is definitely an awesome band.

Mitch Mitchell. Ginger Baker. Keith Moon, John Bonham, the English drummers just had the groove about them.....Ian Paice. Stewart Copeland a master too, basically it helps if you drum in a great band....Session king :Bernard Purdie, fabulous. Clyde Stubblefield and Al Jackson were amazing, I think Clyde is still alive.
Phil Seaman was a genius according to the people in the know. (50s, 60s Jazz king)
