SO, who is/are your favorite drummer(s)? Mine in order are - Joey Jordison - Jason Bittner - Chris Adler - Brad Wilk - Chad Smith(never knew he was from around my are, sorta, till today) - Dave Lombardo - and yea. Ummm, Killswitch Engage's drummer also, don't remember his name though. Almost forgot Buddy Rich and Tony Royster jr. too. If you guys want this can turn into somethin of a criticizing thread too about drummers and why you think they aren't the best. I know that not a lot of people, atleast that I know, dislike Joey Jordison. Personally, he's just a really good drummer plus he's a perty good guitarist too. Iono, I just really like him though his "solo" that was on umm, disasterpeices I think sorta sucked IMO, it was cool and all but not really "AAAAAamazing" by any means. |

| | Yeah I've seen a bit of that video.
Anyway, here goes.
Danny Carey, John Dolmayan, Terry Bozzio, Dave Grohl, David Silvera, Igor Cavalera, Joey Jordison, Jimmy Chamberline, Dave Mclain, Mike Bordin, Lars Ulrich, Dom Famularo, Brad Wilk, Brain Mantia, Buddy Rich, Animal, John Bonham, Chris Adler, John Tempesta, John Stanier, Ginger Fish, Grant Collins (the Aussie Bozzio), Dave Weckl, Chad Smith, Jim Marshall (that's right, he's a drummer), Vinnie Paul, Matt Mcdonough, Patti Schemel, etc, etc.
Hey Lastditch. Have you heard the Australin band that Stanier drums for, The Mark Of Cain? He comes down here and tours with them every so often. Henry Rollins produced them at one point. Check it out http://www.tmoc.com.au/ |

| | skinslapper, why lars ulrich? Metallica's good but I wouldn't take Lars as being all to great a drummer? I do like him though cause what he plays sounds cool and works well, but it's simple...? Crap I just went against myself Chad Smith's stuff is simple but sounds cool. Just that one of my friends(another drummer), well, he dislikes Lars because he's simple. Along with his mindset that Metallica are sellouts now. I disagree with him there, but half agreed with him about Ulrich. |

| | | Now let's just clarify one thing. I am not one of those mindless metallica freaks, who thinks music began and ends with that band. However, I do feel that metallica have been one of the key influences to modern metal and Lars is probably the biggest reason for that. His european upbringing has helped the band to look outside the box in the past and this is what's made metallica the force that it once was. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
