New Band/Drummer

Im not sure this is the best place for this topic but i am looking for a new band to listen to. My favorite band is rush. I am looking for a band that is very much like them that would be cool for me to listen to. I just need some cool insight on some new stuff to pick up because im getting bored with a lot of the stuff that is cycling through itunes right now (except rush). Who is a drummer that is worthy enough to fill in for someone that i can listen to right along with neil peart (take into account that i dont consider the amount of notes the factor that makes drummers good. I also like good groove, feel, and creativity). any suggestions would be much welcomed. Thanks for any insight. I hope to get turned on to some good bands in this process.

lol, well the bands I like right now probably ain't what you're looking for :P
the devil wears prada ... like most of their songs...a lot.
job for a cowboy ... entombment of a machine is probably a favorite song
must not kill - lastditch hehe
alexisonfire
killswitch enage ... one of my favorite bands
panda strike (if you like pig squeels :P )
etc.. etc.. etc..
few local bands too
a work begun...just like these guys
barricade your windows... friends band and they have some cool breakdowns
fearcity silence (only a recording, cause live is terrible...for some odd reason) ... synth
These Hearts ( I like some of the guitar stuff, but drums are perty basic) gonna hate the vocals though =P
couple others but yea

CD Baby: SPRAWL: Sprawl

thats where you can listen to some music of the first band i roadied for and recived a reward(they played in my first metal show EVER)...It shows that blast beets are not allways the ansore. kinda sounds like the rolling stones drummer playing metal, because of the steady beat. not being the more out of controll drummers i have heard
