I am the best drummer I know na na nah Ha Ha well what ??! If I could only do one creative thing on earth I'd play drums. Not f...Jambes. Kit drums. Seems odd that there are humans out there don't play drums !!!! And those jambe hippies don't they get bored playing one drum at a time ??? Or none, my god !!!!! I'll tell you bout my kit. you must be reading...keep reading. Well I am stuck in Melbourne can't get my proper (?) kit from Qld. BUT Yesterday I helped a friend (The famous jewish t.v. compere Messres Henry Greener no less shift all sorts of antiques and wonderment from his garage and he paid me with the most excellent collection of percussion **** you could ever dream of. an Indonesian Unklung set, fibreglass bongoes, cymbal stands, african guitar and wire plucked drum things, classical guitar, a really ancient snare and a piccolo (God must love me !!), shakers, bells, etc....yah !!! I have a theme colour which seems to follow me. That is bright red, dark pink and and fluoro pink. So I find bright red powdercoated tube metal on street, a small pearl drum with dark pink pearl, Nuts and also Maroon velvet for theatrical effect . So I can't go to bed at all for fiddling with nuts and bolts and cool drum hardware etc... The alladin friend also gave me a flat drum kit, like a flat top tele. Which I can use like houdini ha ha....I am creating a Cabaret Punk act which is a bit nasty but spit in your face with jelly flavour. I need 3 of me. Damn. Ha. You will see me out there V. sooooooooooooon. By by serious drum people, love, Wendy (a.k.a. Salvador Daling the often high priest of the church of the holy leftovers, or Walter to my friends.) |

Re: I am the best drummer I know na na nah Wendy I like your style. My wife thinks you're somewhat deranged and should seek help. It would seem here that you are suffering from a classic case of drum overload. If only I were that lucky. Keep up the good work. |

Re: I am the best drummer I know na na nah to be honest, your post disgusts me. twas more like jibberish than a coherent thought. but heck, to each his own. bragging posts are not always bad, just would prefer ones with a bit less gall. i do envy your recent aquisitions. best of luck to you, and love as well. as perhaps it would do you some good.

Re: I am the best drummer I know na na nah I think you're awesome Wendy/Walter. My dad's name is Walter and he's a creative, independent, driven, entrepreneur-type like you but very old-fashioned. I'm guessing you're the type that challenges all traditional ways of doing things and all establised ways of thinking.
I like that. I envy you. Maybe if I had a tiny spark of what you've got I'd be out there making a bigger mark on the world. Drumming is the most creative thing I can do and I agree that we're on the planet to be creative and expand.
Are you planning a one-man (one-androgenous person) show? Or do you have musical pals that can groove with you?
I've got a Djembe as well as my kit (and an old vibraphone too). I recently saw a stand that places the Djembe off the ground on a tilt. I was thinking of incorporating it into my kit. If I'm honest with myself, I get bored easily and tend to like manic, diverse, interesting sounds. |
