Jeff Hamilton solo

I just saw a Jeff Hamilton jazz solo on YouTube. I must say that this guy can groove and the solo is fantastic. I love how he changes the pitch on the rack tom. The drums sound great too. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdvIZ...rum%20Hamilton

What do you all think?

Wow! Heard the name before but never seen any footage. I love the relaxed way he moves round the kit and swings between the cymbals, and the hi-hat rhythm is always in there while the snare and tom-work is teetering on the edge of breaking out. Very nice playing.

Jazz players are so fun to watch. They're really smooth. I think im gonna try that thing where he changes the tom pitch while playing...

That's a little trick I've been using for a while in our set, always takes people by surprise.

Maybe I should sue Jeff Hamilton, I did teach him everything he knows, after all. (not)
