Re: Is It Okay???

What are the specifications on that sponge? It looks porous enough, but how's the budget for that type of sound proofing? What size and how many would you need?
The rolls or sheet type is preferable. Need more info on this product. How is it mounted? You may need to cover the holes. Maybe another angle shot would help. Seems like most sound proofing can be cut real nicely using an electric knife like the ones used for carving turkey. It's not a joke, I found this out from a lady who worked at a millinery shop.

It looks like some packing material.

Hey, If sounds good why not. I once saw a guy place a couple of self adheasive maxi pads inside a snare that had way too much ring for his taste.

I hope he replaces those pads every month. Does that snare also get PMS?

Interesting story TTD but I think Sara was talking about sound proofing for a practice room.

Sara, sorry about that. But seriously do a search on YouTube "how to soundproof a room". This should give you some ideas.

It's probably not going to work. The key to stopping noise from getting out is to seal the room as airtight as possible with a very dense material, like rock wall or mdf. using porus foams will stop reverb within the room, but won't keep your neighbours from whinging.

Haven't seen him for a while, but I'm sure he replaces the pads as needed and a couple of midol through the air hole should make all well.

Now I know why there should be a mature adult present with you guys. Some kids never grow up.

Insanity comes quietly to the structured mind.
