I go largely for music writing more than drumming prowess. If I had to pick for right now, I'm very interested in Joey Jordison of Slipknot. He is an insane drummer, accomplished songwriter and very musically minded.
Trivia; he listens to Fleetwood Mac - Rumors every night before he goes to sleep. His parents played it alot while he was growing up. He considers it a benchmark of good music.
Well, of course, many of the 'good old chaps' like Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, Gene Krupa and Louis Bellson. I think it's totally amazing how 'much' they could get out of a standard (compared to today) drumset.
Today I think a guy like Thomas Lang is really one of the greatest drummers. He's able to play tons of different music styles, which I admire very much since most drummers play one genre, and don't know how to play anything else - at least that's what I think.

I guess everyone has their one song. I personally wouldn't be able to stand listening to the same song every night.
