Pearl Sensitone VS. Tama Metalworks

I was looking at getting a steel Sensitone because I like the pop that I have heard from them, and recently I have seen the Metalworks at the music store which is also a steel snare.

Any one know if it would make the same sounds, or own one? A drum specialist at the local music store said it had a good crack (another type of sound) to it.

I'm thinking of the Ocheltree heavy metals now.

I would suggest the Pearl Senistone snare drum. Pearl has always been known to have very high quality snare drums. Nothing against Tama, but Pearl just has better sounding snare drums.

I bought an alloy classic, though it does help to have new heads, though Hanson's old head is holding up.

What kind of music do you play? Sometimes that might have an affect on what kind of snare drum to buy.

The Tama Metalworks 6.5 x 13 snare sounds really good. There's a demo on youtube just search tama metalworks.
