Tough decision - Decision made

Thanks again to all of you that replied, it is greatly appreciated and I look forward to future exchanges on the forum with each of you. I finally got off dead center today and ordered the X7. I will let you know my thoughts once I have played it awhile.

Best...Merry Christmas!

Re: Tough decision - what to buy

Eeny meeny miney mo it.

Just kidding. Ok, have you tried out any of these sets to see which sound you prefer?
That would probably help set you on track.

Personally though, I would probably choose the Tama (although I don't know too much about that particular set you are looking at) because of the low cost and the economy suckage.
Plus, if this is your first set, you don't want it to cost too much. I am an advocate of PDP X7 all the way, but not at this stage. Not now.

Choose the Tama right now, it will be a nice way to start.

Hey, thanks for the reply. The Tama is a Rockstar Kit for reference.

A rockstar would be great for you, especially with all the cymbals.

Tama also has the Imperial star and Superstar SK.
But the Yamaha is a good choice. I don't know if you mentioned this before, but have you chosen cymbals yet?
Also, a great way to start recording Is with a simple field recorder. Great quality sound, small, and an overall great investment. heres a nice one.
