Custom drums

I've recently been searching for a new drum set and came across the idea of getting a custom one, do any of you have experience with Spaun custom drum company?

Basically for 5 non endorsers I count that as a lot, while I have only seen about 2 SJC kits used by non endorsers.

Gus they rock man.... all quality woods used very much on a pare with Ludwig top range and DW and also Pearls top maple kits..they do Hard wood, Birch and Maple..I think these kits will be the Slingerland of the future.. so buy to keep ,,,,,,.some great colours and ranges certainly worth a look dude....They are quality......and like the best kits wont go out of fashion because they look Vintage and timeless at the same time....if i had the money i would have one ,,,,

Yeah - one of my kits (my first professional kit) is a 1971 Slingerland Curly Maple Kit - I still use it for Jazz and some studio work. The sound is different but comparable in quality to my DW's. I can't speak for the post 1986 era of Slingerlands (post Niles, IL / Chicago) - but this series sounds great, and I still use regularly the 10 lug 14" Super Sensitive Snare that I (or dad) purchased with the kit. Slingerland connoisseurs and aficionados do not consider any Slingerland manufactured post Niles, IL as a real Slingerland. 1986 Slingerland was purchased by Gretsch (who moved manufacturing to Taiwan), then the brand name was purchased by Gibson (from Gretsch) in 1994.
