I suggest the Tama Iron Cobra Jr Power Glide Double Pedal. I used this pedal for somwe time and than switched to the Tama Speed Cobra. The Jr is greaT FOR BEGINERS. MAIL ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS!!!

I bought the Pearl (single chain) set-up a couple of years ago for $130 and love it! I'm still learning on them, tried others but still prefer the entry level. Not overly sensitive.

Yesterday I picked up some DW 2000 pedals they are extremely heavy duty. They have steel floor plates and all, they are nice to use and very light on your feet. DW are my favorite brand so try some of them out. I know pearl do some great stuff to

haven't u sorted out a double bass drum yet.....use a single u can then play ya hi hats with accents rather tan clamped shut or open...its a pain in the arse to be honest i would rather have two bass drums and two single pedals...its old school but looks amazing....

Well, there are many under $200 dollars, but most aren't meant to be fast, and the higher the price you go, the more you get for your money.

Pretty good bass pedals at $150-$200 are:
DW 3000 that's $199.99, Pearl P902 that's $174.99, and Tama Iron Cobra Jr. that's $179.99, and a few others. Can check alot of them out Musician's Friend and type in 'Double Bass Pedal' and a lot should pop up.

Also Andy, drop clutches are awesome to use if you're having problems with open-close hi-hats with double bass licks in a song.

DW 3000 double pedal is awesome. Very smooth, if you want more speed you have to get lighter beaters though. Also if your shopping used the DW 7000 series is the same as the 3000 they just renamed it a while ago
