DW Drum ID Help

I was wondering if I could get some help identifying a used DW kit I am looking to buy. I believe it was manufactured in the mid to late 90's. (they are not dated) The kit consists of 22" kick, 10", 12", 14" and 16" toms black wrapped. The snare is DW Craviotto with gold hardware and a natural maple finish dated 1/00 and signed inside the shell by him in late '99. The badges on the drums are black with gold lettering and are in sequence except for the snare. The person selling them says she doesn't know what model they are and when I called DW, they said that their records don't go back that far but he thought based on the description of the badges, that they were a Collectors Series with Keller shells. Any thoughts as to what they are would be helpful. Thanks for the help.

Re: DW Drum ID Help

Unfortunately if DW was unable to get specific chances are nobody else will be able to either. The good thing is that DW said they were most likely Keller shells which makes that set highly desirable.

How much is the seller wanting if you don't mind me asking? Do you have pictures available to post?

Re: DW Drum ID Help

She is asking $2000.00 but I think I can get them for less. She is including all hardware, a DW 5000 HH stand and a DW 7000 double pedal (not my first choice of pedals but I'll take it) I will try to get pics tomorrow when I see her to consider finalizing the deal.

That is a very good price for that set, and if you can get it for less that would be a great deal.

Re: DW Drum ID Help

OK, picked them up last night. I looked them over carefully; not a mark on them. The bearing edges on the reinforcement hoops are prefect! I ended up getting them for $1700.00. I tried to upload pics but I keep getting an error message. Took them to the rehearsal studio, set them up (not an easy task with all of the adjustments) tuned them and I must say, they sound awesome. Can't wait to hear them with new skins! Thanks for your help and if anyone else can give me more info, I would appreciate it.
