Double Pedal
Pros: Small and lightweight, cheaper, Easier to tune only one drum. easier transition from Hihat to Bass pedal. With double basses the HiHats are farther away because of the size of the drum.

Cons: You loose energy with all the extra moving parts,

Double Basses
Pros:Bigger Kit, Single Pedals Feel Nicer/smoother/sturdier and more energy efficient.

Cons: Cost more money. Bigger Kit, Harder to tune. If you want it to sound like a double pedal both bass drums have to be tuned to the same pitch... and stay at the same pitch... thats hard.

Under the Double Basses I put "Bigger Kit" under both the pro's and con's. Some drummers like a bigger kit cause it makes them look more appealing to the audience, but some think it's just a waste of space.
