Unhappy Electronic drums and temperature

So, I'm trying to start up a band but my electronic set is currently in my room and I don't have enough room for anyone to come and practice. I was thinking about moving my set to the garage but my parents think the heat or cold could mess up the set. I'm just wondering if this is true for an electronic set or not. It gets around maybe 40F in the winter and 90F in the summer.

Re: Electronic drums and temperature

As a retired electronics engineer, the ambient temperature and humidity will affect the electronic components within your kit.

If you intend on storing your kit in the garage, use appropriate measures to control the humidity and the temperature.

The humidity is the larger factor. It can cause corrosion within the circuitry.

Read the booklets that came with your kit or email the company that makes it.

Some high end kits are coated and they're very pricey. Made for all ambience.

So take the precaution and contact the manufacturer before deciding.

As a note: The same goes for acoustic drum kits. So protect you investment.
