Drum Set Value

I own a 1995 Custom Mapex kit with a cherry red finish. It has a 16"snare, 14"and 16" stand toms, and an 18" floor tom. All have new Remo heads. In addition, I have a 20" Bass drum, with Custom brand pedal. It has all Zildjian cymbals that include two 16" ZBT crash cymbals, one 20" ZBT ride cymbal, one 14" ZXT crash cymbal, and 14" ZBT hi-hat cymbals. The kit is in above average condition, with very few imperfections, and the cymbals are all but brand new. How much could I expect to sell this whole set for? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

Re: Drum Set Value

In my opinion, though I like Mapex kits, they are only sought after by musicians that are in the earlier stages of the drumming game.. I imagine you probably want to upgrade right? Or, wanted one at some point? Probably because you're taking the next step in drumming. Realistically I would say with it being in excellent condition you could get $500 fairly easily. and a 16" snare?! thats huge! sweet though haha.

Re: Drum Set Value

To be honest, I am offering around on some sites for selling (ebay, craigslist, ect...) for $650 Or best Offer, knowing I won't get anyone to but it for more that AT LEAST $100 less than asking price. And my one friend is interested in it, and I told him it was his for $500 even. So you're right about dead on. haha. Thanks for the help though! ps, I LOVE my 16" snare. haha.

Re: Drum Set Value

For the record $650 dollars is a screaming good deal for all you have listed above in near mint condition. I think it is reasonable to expect to sell it for $850 - $1000.
