I personally like the Axis A Longboard. I use two of them for double basses. Axis was my first endorsement. They are extreemly fast and pretty worry free. After a year I still have no major trouble with them.
My second favorite and time tested is the old Ludwig Speed King pedal. Two of the most modern professional drummers I know both still use Speed Kings. And yes they are still made. There are a lot of 50 and 60 year old ones out there, but try a new one. They are reasonably priced too at about $120.00. People claim they squeak, that is BS for the most part. They were good for Ringo. I don't hear squeaking in any Beatle songs. Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Birds, Iron Butterfly, Blood Rock, Nitzinger, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Red Stegal……………
The Speed King is a great pedal.
It is unchanged since 1948,but that does not make it a dinosaur. It was so far ahead of it's time and remains a solid pedal today.
Just think--the parts from 2001,will fit a pedal from 1951!
